booking terms & conditions

When booking, please bear in mind that your place on a workshop, sewing class or private tuition session is only confirmed once you’ve paid in full.

Shropshire Creative Workshops is a small business, so you’ll understand that we can’t offer a refund or credit if you don’t attend or if you cancel within 6 days of the workshop or class (please don’t cause embarrassment by asking to do so) as it will be too late by then to fill the place. However, although you can’t cancel your booking, you’re welcome to send someone else in your place, providing it’s the same course!

Please tell us if your contact details change, because we’ll need them for all correspondence.

Very rarely, we may need to cancel or postpone a class or workshop because of unavoidable circumstances, or if a course is under-subscribed. If you’re a confirmed attendee, we’ll let you know as soon as possible, and offer full refunds by BACS transfer, or offer a different date.

gift voucher terms & conditions

Why not give one of our workshop or class gift vouchers?

We’ll mail your gift voucher to you, or the person you’ve specified, as soon as your full payment has cleared.

Your gift voucher will expire 12 months from the date of issue.

You can redeem your gift voucher by emailing or telephoning Shropshire Creative Workshops to choose the course and date you prefer (see website for workshop details). You’ll need to give us the details on your gift voucher at the time of booking.

Our standard booking terms & conditions (above) also apply to all bookings made with a gift voucher.

If we have to cancel a class or session, we’ll issue a replacement gift voucher instead of a refund.

We can’t refund any gift vouchers, but we’d be happy to transfer them to another person.

Please tell us if anyone’s contact details change, because we’ll need them for all correspondence.

meet MARIAN AND LIZZIE

Lizzie and Marian set up Shropshire Creative Workshops in 2017, they teach around 10 students a week – covering all aspects of sewing, alterations and mending. Their classes are held on Wednesday mornings, afternoons and evenings. They teach dressmaking, home furnishings, patchwork & quilting, how to make curtains and Roman blinds, and lots more in-between as well as day long workshops to make a leather bag! They both have a great sense of humour and plenty of patience, so classes are not only fun but they’ll help you achieve your sewing ambitions. Why not take a tour of our photo gallery?

 The Workshops

We have two purpose built workshops, one in the centre of Church Stretton and one in All Stretton. Both workshops have two industrial machines and several computerised domestic machines, together with overlockers. The lighting is good and refreshments are available at all classes and workshops, usually homemade cake!!

 stock

We have a certain amount of fabric, zips, thread etc in stock, but would normally expect students to bring the fabric and haberdashery they need to complete a project, under our guidance.

 classes & tuition

You’ll get plenty of personal attention in our sewing classes and workshops, because there’s a maximum of 4/5 students. You’ll have opportunities to make friends with fellow students. We always have mixed abilities in our sewing classes and workshops, so beginners are very welcome.
